In a press release, the Air Force Command Headquarters elaborates on the incident “Air force officer drugs a female soldier in an attempt to sexually offend her in the medical room”

In response to the media coverage “Air Force Officer drugs a female soldier in an attempt to sexually offend her in the medical room”, the Air Force Command Headquarters says today (Sep. 30) that the sexual offender former medical officer Liu belonged to Makong Compound Service Squad. On December 23, 2017, he committed an attempt to force sexual intercourse on the soldier, and was sentenced to 5 years and 4 months on September 5, 2018 by Tainan District Court. The Headquarters respects the verdict of the court. In addition, Liu has been given two major demerits and was discharged with dishonor on May 1 this year.

The Air Force Command Headquarters stresses that it will continue to demand all units to enforce military rules and education on equal rights between sexes to ensure such incidents never happen again.
